    The Ferrers School

The Ferrers School has a simple yet important mission – to support our students in being the very best they can be. This extends to all they do with us whilst at school: academically; in sport; in the arts. We want all our students to aim to be the best they can, to succeed in reaching ambitious goals and then to celebrate their success – to aspire, achieve, acclaim.

    What is The Ferrers like?

    Head Boy

Making the step up from primary to secondary education can seem daunting to any student: the wake-up call of going from being the oldest to the youngest in the school, the prospect of more homework as well as having to face the possibility of not knowing anyone in your new form. I am proud to have been chosen as Head Boy of The Ferrers School and I hope to represent all the students well and give something back to the school and wider community.

    Head Girl

The Ferrers School has without doubt shaped me into the person I am today. I still remember my first day: I was nervous yet excited for all the new opportunities that lay ahead. I found that The Ferrers has a really friendly and inclusive atmosphere and a sense of community is created within form groups. I am delighted to have been appointed Head Girl of The Ferrers School as the school has played such a significant role in my life and hope to help to further improve the school.

My first year at The Ferrers was a blast!  I thought the school would be really big, a lot like a maze, but as the year went past I learned where all the classes were and that it wasn’t big at all … well not as big as I thought it was at the start of the year.

I’m in Year 11 now and I feel really nervous and excited for the forthcoming exams.  I can’t wait until they are all over.  The support that I have had at home and in school has been brilliant; it has really helped me with my school work.
